Road user in the dark / dark demonstration / driving in the dark is a mandatory part of the basic traffic course and aims to make you aware of the risks of travelling in traffic in dark conditions.

The training takes place both in the classroom (the theory part) outside and in the car, where you as a passenger are shown typical risk situations and causes of accidents in the dark. You will gain insight into common risk factors and learn how you as a road user can contribute to increased safety.

The aim is to give you practical understanding and better judgement, so that you can travel more safely in traffic in different and demanding lighting conditions.

You do not drive yourself. The driving instructor is the one who demonstrates.

Important: If you are under the age of 25 and are taking a basic traffic course in the summer, the darkness demonstration must be completed by 31 October in order for your practice driving certificate to be valid.

The first aid course provides training in life-saving measures in the event of a road accident, as well as knowledge of the duties you have at an accident site. The course combines theory and practical exercises to give participants confidence in an emergency situation.
